[LL]: The Reps Behind the Flag 🇧🇷

Hey Leader 🙌

I’m still glowing from the Winter Olympics and here with an inspirational story and lesson.

History was made when Lucas Pinheiro Braathen became Brazil’s first Winter Olympic medalist, also the first Winter Games medal for South America.

He skis down hill alpine at violent speeds, where one mistake ends the run.

Born and raised in Norway with a Brazilian mother.

Fluent in Portuguese, with pride and accent.

And at the height of his career, he chose to represent Brazil.

But here’s the lesson:

It wasn’t the flag that built the champion.

It was the reps.

Alpine skiing is unforgiving.

One gate clipped, and you’re done.

Years of preparation decided in seconds.

Early mornings.

Strength cycles.

Endless runs in brutal conditions.

Falls and Rehab.

Elite performance isn’t built on inspiration.

It’s built on repetition.

Leadership is pursuing mastery so relentlessly that your excellence becomes service.

When you discipline yourself at that level, you don’t just win, you create belief for yourself, your team, your clients, and your family.

The question this week:

Are you committed to the unseen reps required to lead?

Medals are public.

Influence is earned in private through reps and sets.

Make it a GREAT week.

The 5 Immutable Rules of Leadership

  1. Take Extreme Ownership: Everything is your responsibility, even when it’s not your fault.
  2. Put Your Oxygen Mask On First: Lead yourself before leading others.
  3. Wield Influence Through Moral Authority: People follow who you are, not what you say.
  4. It’s Not About You, Never Was, Never Will Be: Elevate others, build legacy.
  5. Turn Adversity Into Advantage: Pain is your power, use it.
