And influence is built through contribution.
When you create value for someone first, you trigger something powerful.
A sense of connection. A level of trust. And a natural desire to reciprocate. Not because they have to. Because they want to.
This is where most people get it wrong.
They enter conversations thinking transactionally.
“What can I get?”
But elite leaders think transformationally.
“How can I help?”
That shift changes everything.
It positions you as someone of value.
Someone worth listening to.
Someone worth following.
Over time, that compounds into real influence.
And influence is the foundation of leadership.
Here is your challenge this week.
Before every interaction, pause and ask:
“How can I create value first?”
Make that your operating system.
Because when you lead with value, you do not chase influence.
You attract it.
