Happy Monday Mindset!
I set out to write a resilience book.
Eighteen months into the project and forty-two years of life experience later, I realized I had written something bigger.
I had written a book about transformation.
Here is what the writing taught me.
Resilience is surviving the fire.
Transformation is using it.
Most high performers stop at the first one.
They take the hit, they grit their teeth, they endure, and they call that strength.
It is not.
Enduring keeps you the same size.
Transforming makes you bigger.
I named my framework The Phoenix Effect for a reason.
The ancients told of a bird that lived a thousand years, then built a nest of aromatic wood and set it aflame.
They called it the Phoenix.
It did not flee the fire.
It walked into it and emerged brighter, bolder, larger than before.
The fire was not the end of the story.
It was the mechanism.
That is the heart of Turning Adversity Into Advantage: The 5 Levers That Transform Setbacks Into Your Superpower
It is not what happens to you.
It is how you respond, and whether you let it remake you.
This week, your call to action is to name the fire you have been merely surviving.
Then ask what it could forge to make you better.
PS. Stay tuned in the next 30 days for more information on its release!
