Hey Leader 🙌
March 2020.
Within hours, our entire Fit Body business model was essentially illegal.
Hundreds of locations.
Tens of thousands of clients.
And no playbook for what came next.
We had 2 choices:
Freeze.
Or figure it out.
We chose the latter.
And what happened over the next 48 hours taught me one of the greatest leadership lessons of my life:
Your team does not need you to have all the answers.
They need you to create clarity and movement.
When adversity hits, average leaders wait for certainty.
Great leaders gather the facts, make the best decision available, communicate it clearly, and move.
Then they adjust.
US Business News recently featured the full story and how those 48 hours ultimately helped create the framework behind my upcoming book, Turn Adversity Into Advantage.

Here’s your leadership challenge this week:
Identify 1 decision you have been delaying because you do not have perfect information.
Gather the facts.
Make the call.
Communicate it.
Move.
Leadership isn’t having a perfect playbook.
It is having the courage to write the next page when the old playbook no longer works.
Make it a GREAT week!

The 5 Immutable Rules of Leadership
- Take Extreme Ownership: Everything is your responsibility, even when it’s not your fault.
- Put Your Oxygen Mask On First: Lead yourself before leading others.
- Wield Influence Through Moral Authority: People follow who you are, not what you say.
- It’s Not About You, Never Was, Never Will Be: Elevate others, build legacy.
- Turn Adversity Into Advantage: Pain is your power; use it.
