Most people walk into conversations thinking:
“What should I say?”
“How do I sound?”
“What do they think of me?”
That inward focus kills connection.
Strong leaders flip it.
They walk into every interaction asking:
“What matters to this person?”
“What are they dealing with?”
“How can I understand them better?”
That shift creates something powerful.
Curiosity.
And curiosity creates connection.
When people feel seen, heard, and understood, you gain something every leader wants:
Influence.
Here is the bottom line:
Presence is not about commanding attention.
It is about giving attention.
And when you consistently focus on your team, your clients, and your community…
You become magnetic.

Ask better questions.
Listen longer than you speak.
