Hey Leader 🙌
This week’s mindset is simple, but not easy:
Be comfortable with discomfort.
I picked this up from Charisma on Command as Charismatic Mindset #5, and it hits at the core of real leadership.
Here’s the truth most leaders miss…
Charisma is not loud.
It is not rushed.
It is not reactive.
It is calm, composed, and often… silent.
And that’s where most people break.
We rush to fill the silence.
We avoid tension.
We escape the moment.
Why?
Because discomfort feels like danger.
But let’s reframe it.
In the gym, tension builds strength.
In business, tension builds leaders.
No tension, no growth.
I learned this the hard way.
Early in my leadership journey, I confused activity with effectiveness. Talking more, doing more, reacting faster.
But the breakthrough came when I learned to sit in the moment. To hold eye contact. To let a conversation breathe. To not rescue people from discomfort.
That’s where truth shows up.
That’s where respect is earned.
That’s where leadership is forged.
Here’s your challenge this week:
Pause before you respond.
Hold the silence a second longer.
Lean into the tension instead of escaping it.
Because the leaders who rise are not the ones who avoid pressure…
They are the ones who become steady inside it.
After all, leadership growth lives on the other side of discomfort.
Make it a GREAT week!

The 5 Immutable Rules of Leadership
- Take Extreme Ownership: Everything is your responsibility, even when it’s not your fault.
- Put Your Oxygen Mask On First: Lead yourself before leading others.
- Wield Influence Through Moral Authority: People follow who you are, not what you say.
- It’s Not About You, Never Was, Never Will Be: Elevate others, build legacy.
- Turn Adversity Into Advantage: Pain is your power, use it.
