Happy Monday Mindset!🙌
Coach Jake sent Tatiana and I a text message a couple weeks ago on Sunday, November 5.
In general terms, the date is burned in my brain.
Yet, this year, his message caught me by surprise in the hustle and bustle.
Why did he message?
Coach Jake congratulated us.🌟
Being that on November 5, 2012, Tatiana and I opened our first Fit Body location here in Orange County, California.💥
That date is now 11 years ago, which I still cannot believe.
What was it like?
It was a cold, dark and rainy morning.
We didn’t know a lot of people in the community.
We didn’t have a strong marketing strategy.
Only 1 month prior I had moved a mile next to our location.
I rented a studio apartment so we could launch our new business.
A mere 1-week prior Tatiana arrived from Brazil.🇧🇷
It was exciting but stressful!
Why?
I had dumped my life savings to get the doors open on this new business. Many loved ones, with good intentions, cautioned us against the risk.
We had many challenges to overcome.
There were a lot of things we didn’t know.
But what we lacked in experience and resources.
We made up for it with HEART and PASSION!💕
The passion towards the mission of inspiring fitness and changing lives that burns true till this day!
Was it easy?
No.
Launching a business is one of the hardest things we have ever done.🔥
This is why most fail.
In fact, the first handful of months we couldn’t afford a team.
Every month, it was a fight for survival.
Many times in the first year, we were on the brink of making rent.
There were many days where things didn’t look good.
Oftentimes, we felt like quitting.
But even though those early days were hard.
We keep putting 1 foot in front of the other.
We kept pushing forward.
Fast forward 11 years and this mission to change lives continues.🙏
Without you, this wouldn’t be possible.
So, on this special Thanksgiving week..
Tatiana, team, and I wanted to give THANKS to YOU for your support and love!✨
YOU are the reason for our passion towards fitness!
YOU are the reason we get to do what we love!
My message today:
Stop today and send a gratitude text to someone who has helped you on your journey.🥰
There’s no free rides in life, but someone has provided you support when you desperately needed it.
This is the same YOU did for us!
Please also realize that nothing in life that’s valuable comes easy or free.
This is true for your health & fitness.💯
Yes, it will be harder than you think.
But it will be more fulfilling than you can imagine.
And even when the going gets tough..
Put 1 foot in front of the other and keep pushing forward.
