Happy Monday Mindset!
I spent the last week in Houston, Texas for our 1st Mastermind Workshop of the year.
Fit Body Mastermind is a leadership coaching program designed to provide extra leadership training for our owners.
We had a solid crew of presenters who taught about leadership, process, and client experience as our theme.
My buddy Dean Stott kicked it off with a ½ day of leadership training citing his experience in the British Special Forces and in completing 2 Guinness Book of World Records.
I linked my podcast episode with him HERE and below, for the full story we recorded back in 2023.
However, the cliff notes are that he completed the fastest bike ride from the tip of South Argentina through the top of Alaska in 99 days which beat the record by 19 days.
His secret?
In his planning phase, he spoke with the previous world record holders.
All 3 of them started in Alaska and ended in Argentina.
From what they all shared, South America was by far the hardest part of the trip compared to North America due to a variety of factors most notably because of road and political conditions.
Due to his research and planning, he decided to flip the script and attack the hardest part first.
Therefore, he started in Argentina and ended in Alaska which was a contrarian move.
As you would imagine, there were main twists and turns but he overcame them.
This is the mindset lesson I derived:
Do hard first, then life gets easy.
The opposite is true.
Make it a GREAT week!
