Happy Monday Mindset!
Tatiana and I just watched the new Netflix series on Ronaldinho, the famous Brazilian soccer player who won every major title in soccer.
All 3 episodes. Back-to-back.
It brought me right back to being a kid captivated by the phrase Jogo Bonito: “the beautiful game.”
Made famous by Nike’s commercials in the 90’s and Brazil’s style of soccer.
And it wasn’t just about winning.
It was about creativity, joy, and freedom of expression under pressure.
Brazilians call this the “A Ginga Brasileira” or “The Brazilian Rhythm”.
And the more I reflected on it, the more I realized this philosophy applies far beyond sports.
Especially in leadership and entrepreneurship.
High performers are wired to chase outcomes. We grind for the next goal, next level, next achievement.
But here’s the truth:
If you do not enjoy the process, you will not sustain the mission.
Because adversity is coming.
Pressure is guaranteed.
The leaders who thrive long term are the ones who learn to find rhythm in the resistance. They stay creative under pressure. They keep showing up with energy, not just effort.
That is the spirit of the ginga brasileira.
So here’s my challenge for you this week:
Do a quick audit.
Are you playing your version of Jogo Bonito…
Or are you stuck grinding through someone else’s game?
Life is short.
Build something meaningful.
But more importantly, build something you enjoy.
That’s how you toughen your mindset and live a life worth living.
Make it a GREAT week!
