Happy Monday Mindset!
I traveled to Michigan over the weekend for my brother Barrett’s wedding this Friday.
I’m fired up to celebrate this next chapter with him and our family!
And coming from sunny Southern California, something immediately caught my attention.
The changing colors of fall.
The leaves turning. The temperatures dropping. Nature preparing for its next season.
It got me thinking.
Before trees can grow again, they must let go first.
And there’s a powerful mindset lesson here.
In August 1991, my family fled Georgia after a terrifying night involving my alcoholic father.
We lost our home, our stability, and everything familiar.
By God’s grace, my 75-year-old Grandma Josie opened her doors to us in Michigan.
At the time, all I could see was loss.
But looking back?
That painful season planted the seeds for everything I’ve built since.
Here’s the lesson.
Sometimes what feels like life falling apart is actually life making room for your next chapter.
This transformation process, which I call Igniting the Phoenix Effect, is the inspiration behind my book, Turn Adversity Into Advantage, launching October 20!
And I’d love your support!

My challenge this week?
Identify what you need to let go of to make room for your next season of growth.
Then let it go.
Make it a GREAT week!
