Happy Monday Mindset!
Here is a big story you might have missed this week.
Vancomycin is the antibiotic doctors reach for when nothing else works.
The last line of defense.
Then certain bacteria learned to shrug it off, the drug stopped saving people, and the field moved on to hunt for a replacement.
This month, researchers brought it back.
They did not invent a new drug.
They paired vancomycin with a small molecule that blocks the resistance the bacteria built.
Same antibiotic.
Obstacle cleared.
Turns out..
The drug was never weak.
Something was standing in front of it.
Now here’s what this means to you.
You might be living that story right now.
The truth for most people is that you do not need a new morning routine, a new career, a new offer, or a new version of yourself.
You already have the thing that works.
Then something got in front of it, and instead of clearing the obstruction, you went shopping.
New is seductive.
Old is boring.
The problem?
That is the expensive mistake.
My mindset message today:
This week, name one thing that used to work and stopped.
Do not replace it.
Revisit it and remove the constraint that is blocking it.
And when you do, reply to this email, as I would love to learn more and cheer you on!
