[Monday Mindset]: What 2 Years of Writing Taught Me About Adversity

Happy Monday Mindset!

A couple of years ago, I made a decision.

I was going to write a book about mindset and resilience.

Why?

Because no matter who you are, you have already gone through adversity.

And guess what?

Even more is coming.

This is true for your business, family, leadership, and life.

No one gets a pass.

And while my team shores up plenty of my weaknesses, one strength I’ve developed over the years is this:

I can turn bad situations into good.

So I put pen to paper with this goal:

Document my process and create something that could provide massive value to you and humanity.

Interestingly enough, the process changed me too.

Two years of writing forced me to reflect on my own adversity, decisions, mistakes, and growth.

And I discovered something unexpected.

I thought I was writing a book about mindset and resilience.

Really, I was writing a book about transformation.

Because what I learned is that most things in life are neutral.

We are the ones who give them meaning.

And when you can take something you perceive as bad, move through it, and pull the advantage from it?

That’s transformation.

That’s what I call The Phoenix Effect™.

And that’s the message behind my new book, Turn Adversity Into Advantage, which will launch on October 20.

I’m incredibly grateful you’re along for this journey.

So this week, ask yourself: What adversity from your past can you finally transform into an advantage?

Make it a GREAT week!
