Happy Monday Mindset!

Translation from Cesar’s Latin:

“We came, we saw, we conquered!”

What an experience in Las Vegas!

We rocked the house with our 2024 World Conference.

It was the biggest training event in Franchise history with 525+ in attendance.

The best part?

We poured into our Franchise Partners and coaches with education, training and belief!

This way, they in turn will do the same for their clients & community.

Today’s message is I wish you a life of IMPACT!

After all, a life of IMPACT is where fullfilment is derived.

Leadership Lesson: The Big 3 150 150 Bryce Henson

Leadership Lesson: The Big 3

I was chatting with Bedros a few weeks ago and he shared a leadership framework from the great Robert Green, author of 48 Law of Power.

If you develop these 3 qualities, you will have influence with others which is the foundation of leadership.

The message resonated and hope it does with you which is this week’s leadership lesson.

  • Be comfortable in your skin
  • Be headed in an intentional direction
  • Enjoy the ride

[MM]: Coaches Need Coaches: 2024 World Conference

Happy Monday Mindset!

This week is always one of my favorites of the year.

Why?

Well, my Fit Body HQ team and I get to welcome in over 500+ Fit Body owners and coaches from across North America to our 2024 Annual World Conference.

This year we are in Las Vegas, Nevada!

Now you might be asking yourself, what is the World Conference?

It’s our #1 mega training event put on by Fit Body Headquarters where we level up our Franchise Partners and coaches brand wide.

This way, they can level up their service and grow their income and impact in their local community!

Sadly, this is where most other franchise systems fail and just another thing that separates us here at Fit Body Boot Camp.

The best part?

It will be the biggest in Franchise History given our growth as a brand!

Looking ahead, today’s message is that we all need coaches in our lives to grow.

Coaches provide guidance and accountability against our blind spots.

Yes, we all have them in various aspects of life.

This is why my team and I keep investing an incredible amount of both time, experiential and financial resources into our Franchise Partners and coaches throughout the brand.

Just remember: even coaches need coaches!

Have a great week!

Leadership Lesson: Leaders Keep Their Composure 150 150 Bryce Henson

Leadership Lesson: Leaders Keep Their Composure

The stress mounts, emotions get high, and bad news is prevalent.

Welcome to leadership, my friend.

Why?

As a leader, the buck stops with you.

Get used to it.

Now while these can be stressful situations you encounter, a leader must keep their composure.

I was reminded of this last week on a call where things got heated.

As a result, the “gentleman” on the other line lost his composure and threw a few F-bombs directed at me.

Good times.

Truth be told, my primal instinct wanted to return the favor with 10x the intensity.

Yes, I am capable of this.

However, that would have been Bryce 1.0.

Instead, I took a deep breath, lowered my voice, kept my composure, and responded calmly with confidence and persistence.

After a couple of minutes had passed, while he didnt apologize, he said he needed to regain his composure which he did.

The problem?

The damage was done.

He lost my respect.

The worst part?

2 of his teammates were there to listen to his rant.

Whether they will ever approach him or not, he let his emotions get the best of him and broke trust with his team and I.

The lesson?

You can and should get fired up and passionate toward your cause.

That can be a good thing!

But never lose your cool.

If you lose your composure, you cannot lead yourself.

And if you cannot lead yourself, then how can you lead others?

So remember: Leaders Keep Their Composure

[MM]: Let the Games Begin: 2024 Paris Olympics 150 150 Bryce Henson

[MM]: Let the Games Begin: 2024 Paris Olympics

Happy Monday Mindset!

The 2024 Paris Olympics just kicked off on Friday.

It’s a special time where the world comes together around sport.

I love it!!

While I watched some of the opening events over the weekend, something hit me.

While the world see’s 14 days of performance.

The truth is these athletes have been training for their entire life for this 1 moment.

But whats crazy is that we only see the tip of the iceberg.

What’s even more interesting is that the margin of victory and defeat is tiny.

1 millisecond here or there oftentimes separates Gold from Silver and so on.

This is why the separation you see in performance comes down to 1 thing..

Their preparation!

You see, many times the games are won or lost far before the day of the event.

Their won or lost in their reps and sets before!

And while most of us will never be on the world stage of the Olympics.

The truth is that this applies to our lives too!

The people who are successful with their health, fitness, business, mindset, and overall lives.

Are the ones who create this separation due to their preparation.

This success doesn’t happen by accident.

Instead, intentionally, focus and preparation is the key.

So the learning lesson I derived from the Olympics is this..

If you want a better life with more health, fitness, career fulfillment, and happiness.

My call to action today is to separate yourself through your preparation.

After all, the more you sweat in the battle (aka training), the less you bleed in war (aka life).

For now, let the games begin and GO USA!

Have a great week!

Leadership Lesson: Winners Win 150 150 Bryce Henson

Leadership Lesson: Winners Win

This is a famous adage in sports.

It’s true for leadership.

As a leader, you must put your team in a position to win.

If you cannot do this, you will not possess long-term influence which is the essence of leadership.

This is the bottom line.

The good news?

Winning is a mentality.

With time, intentionality, and consistency, you can train yourself to compete.

You can train yourself to become a winner.

The best news?

In a time where society is softening, it’s more attainable than ever.

You just need to possess a little savage stacked with strong persistence and will.

Now go forth and lead.

Just remember: Winners Win.

[MM]: A true friend 150 150 Bryce Henson

[MM]: A true friend

Happy Monday Mindset!

I met my good friend Matt Johns in October of 2007 here in Orange County through one of my best friends from England.

“Johnzy” grew up a few hours from London and decided to take a traveling trip through California.

Fortune was on my side as we hit it off immediately.

Kindred spirits.

Johnzy is the type of guy with an adventurous soul, loves sport & travel with a BIG appetite for life.

My kinda dude.

As a result, we have traveled the world together for the last 15+ years touring North & South America with a whole lot of Europe sprinkled in.

This includes completing the Murph at Mission Viejo Fit Body in May of 2022.

So it was an honor to be invited and celebrate his wedding to his beautiful bride Charlotte last month.

The event was made up of 1 Brazilian, 2 Frenchmen, 2 Americans and 100+ Britts deep in the English countryside.

And while the wedding was a magical experience..

1 specific moment struck me.

It was getting late in the evening and I was at the bar with Tatiana ordering water when an overserved friend of his offered to buy me a beer.

I politely declined but he insisted.

Now for the record, I am very well capable of reinforcing my decisions.

But over my shoulder I hear a loud bolstering voice.

“Mate – enough already. Bryce doesn’t drink”.

Full stop.

For context, this is from a guy who I spent the first 7 years of my relationship with drinking alcohol on trips and exploring the world together.

The beauty of it all?

Johnzy is well aware I am a recovering alcoholic.

While I changed my pattern of life in December of 2016..

It didn’t change our friendship.And what’s best?

He supports me just the same.

That’s a true friend!

My message today is to surround yourself with people who are going to lift you up and support good decisions that make you better.

This is what a true friend is.

I hope I can be one of those people for you; and you in turn for someone else.

Have a great week!

Leadership Lesson: Leaders Take the Lead 150 150 Bryce Henson

Leadership Lesson: Leaders Take the Lead

Leaders take the lead.

Sounds basic but is often overlooked in leadership.

When starting any new initiative, here’s the tough truth.

There is always resistance.

There are always unknowns and kinks to work through in anything new.

Always.

This is the reason why when a leader begins a new initiative, they must be the ones who lead it.

A leader must roll up his/her sleeves and get messy.

Why?

Even successful initiatives have roadblocks.

This is why your call to action is to lead the charge and smooth out the kinks.

Once the foundation is laid, then you delegate and get out of the way so your team can execute.

Then on to the next initiative.

Rinse and repeat.

Just remember: Leaders take the lead.

[MM]: Life: a game of inches (Saturday’s assassination attempt) 150 150 Bryce Henson

[MM]: Life: a game of inches (Saturday’s assassination attempt)

Happy Monday Mindset!

No doubt you saw the events on Saturday as world-renowned businessman and former President Donald Trump was 2 inches from being assassinated.

Whether you love or hate the man.

That is not the focus as this is not a political message.

Instead, it’s one engrained in humanity and perspective.

As I reflected on the events, there’s a lot to unpack and most of it is out of the scope of my entrepreneurial message.

Specific to today’s message and given the events.

I couldn’t help but contemplate the fragility of life all weekend.

If that bullet went 2 inches to the left, things would be very different for our country and world.

The lesson?

Life is a game of inches.

1 inch here, you’re too late.

An inch there, you’re too early.

Every inch, every second, and every moment in this thing called life counts.

So my message today is for you to seek perspective.

Even if things are not going well for you at the moment.

The good news is that you are closer to a better life than you think.

Grabbing 1 more weekly workout, eliminating 1 glass of alcohol per week, executing 1 business vetting discovery call, replacing 1 fast food meal with a healthy one, or attending 1 business growth event can and will change your life.

These decisions might seem insignificant in the moment but over time, they stack up and matter.

The inches of life are all around us.

But it’s up to you to make every one of them count!

Have a great Monday, head up and onward America.

PS Prayers to the person who lost their life and those who were injured.

Leadership Lesson: Leaders Translate 150 150 Bryce Henson

Leadership Lesson: Leaders Translate

We learned last week that leaders connect.

A way to connect is through translation; which is today’s lesson.

You see, effective leaders translate.

In other words, they speak to their audience.

I was reminded of my recent trip to London for my friend Matt’s wedding.

Thankfully, we use the same English language.

But there are still many things that are not American, especially in Dublin, Ireland where we finished up the trip.

Ireland and most of the world for that matter measure weight in grams, distance in kilometers, and temperature in centigrade.

In my younger days of travel, I would try to force pressure on the Imperial system in my exchanges.

This was a novice move and a major fail.

It wasn’t until I realized that I needed to learn how to lift weights in kilograms, measure distances in kilometers, and communicate temperature in Celsius.

In essence, I learned how to translate.

Side note and fun fact, 28-30 degrees Celsius is my type of weather. 😎

Ok, I digress.

My point is that as a leader, it’s not about you.

It never has been or will be.

Instead, it is about the people you serve.

And when you serve others, you need to translate to them.

You need to know your audience and speak to them in their language.

This is where the influence lies.

After all, leadership is influence.

So if you want to be a better leader, learn how to translate to your audience.
