[MM]: Perspective (Steve’s car accident)

Happy Monday!🙌

This past week was inspiring as I spent 2 days in Sacramento on FOX news.🌟

I was asked to feature Fit Body Freedom Week.

What is Freedom Week?🤔

It’s a new Fit Body campaign that launches on Monday April 8 to help combat human trafficking which enslaves 25 million people world wide.

Stay tuned for more information in the next 3 weeks as we do some good together!🔥

That aside..

I got a workout in Rancho Cordova Fit Body with my friends James, Liz and their awesome team!

Coach James was on the mic, and helped me modify the workout.

Why?

Well, I tore a piece of my hamstring a week ago at a Fit Body team bonding event.

It’s back and blue.

I have about 4-6 weeks to recover before I can work out without modification.

Now just as I was feeling sorry for myself for my temporary limitation..

I ended up meeting a new friend and Fit Body member named Steve, who got paired in my station.

You see Steve has 1 leg.

The other was amputated a handful of years ago.

Steve is in his 50’s now.

But when he was 17 growing up in Scotland..

He got hit by a drunk driver.

The complications of the accident persistent for years.

He experienced terrible pain and his only wish was to be able to live a normal life.

Eventually he had to have it amputated to save his life.

Yet, there he was..

CRUSHING his work out with a smile!💥

No excuses.

No whining.

Just giving 100% effort.💪

Talk about a piece of humble pie to open up some perspective.

It inspired me and I hope that it does for you.

My message today is to..

Work hard.

Be productive and useful.

Know that things happen.

Sometimes bad.

However, you always have a choice to respond and not react to the situation!

This is what I learned from Steve and hope you do too.

Have a great Monday!👊
